Class diagrams and other models can be refactored to improve their structure, to remove redundancies and improve their correspondence to requirements. Refactoring is particularly important in an agile development approach, where it is usually applied on code. Some typical refactorings are [1]:“Pull up attribute” refactoring: if all (at least 2) direct subclasses of a class E declare an attribute att : T with the same name and type, replace these declarations by a single definition of att in E (Fig. 4.11).
